Our Story
In 2015 a local Absecon family, The Fitzgeralds, began renovation on the charming yet currently run down Jonathan Pitney House. Rich in history Owners Ed and Wendie Fitzgerald knew the importance of this historic landmark to South Jersey and saw the true potential in it. The Fitzgeralds were known locally for their purchase and renovation of Historic Smithville, so locals were ecstatic to see this house be turned into a sight to see. The houses original owner, Dr. Jonathan Pitney was a renowned Doctor in the early 1800’s who believed strongly in the restorative properties of Atlantic City, thus putting forward plans for the Absecon Lighthouse, and Atlantic City train.
